Who's on the Global Partnerships team and what do they do?

The Global Partnerships team is made up of a diverse group of individuals who specialize in various aspects of the Episcopal Church’s global ministry. Each member of the team works to strengthen the ties between the Episcopal Church and the other provinces in the Anglican Communion as well as our ecumenical and interreligious partners.

Partnership Office

One of the ways our team fosters these partnerships is by traveling around the world to meet face-to-face with our brothers and sisters in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East. Our Partnership Officers support diocesan partnerships and celebrate the election of overseas bishops. They act as cultural and political translators, and they represent the face of the Episcopal Church to other Christian churches around the world.

Mission Personnel

The Mission Personnel Office empowers members of the Episcopal Church to enter into relationship with people all over God’s world by connecting individuals who feel called to serve across cultural boundaries to host communities around the Anglican Communion. The Episcopal Church has missionaries serving in over 25 countries around the world supporting local church communities in their calling to participate in God’s mission.

Global Networking

Partnership in Mission is at the heart of all relationships, both within the Anglican Communion and throughout the wider church. Episcopalians have formed relationships with individuals, parishes, dioceses, and provinces around the world finding their rewards in new friendships, mutual learning, and an expanded awareness of the world. Companion relationships offer opportunities to engage in mission with dioceses nationally and internationally. Companion relationships exist to strengthen each participant in ministry and mission and lead all partners to an increased awareness of the single mission to which all are called.
Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations
The Episcopal Church is in relationship with a wide range of Christian communions at home and around the world.  We participate in formal dialogues, conferences, and consultations seeking to nurture a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect. By doing this, we live into the God-given unity of our baptism.
United Thank Offering

The United Thank Offering addresses compelling human need through grants to projects that alleviate poverty, both domestically and internationally, within the Anglican provinces, dioceses, and companion dioceses
